Madrona Day Treatment Program Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS)

  • Kitsap Mental Health Services (KMHS) offers many programs to serve individuals of all ages.
  • The Madrona Day Treatment Program provides specialized education where students can build skills to safely be part of the classroom community.
  • Students are referred to Madrona by their school and come from 12 school districts. On average, students attend Madrona for a year and a half.
  • There are two campuses in Bremerton, serving 44 students across elementary, middle, and high school grade levels.
  • Therapeutic programming at Madrona can include therapy, case management, independent living skills, field trips, art therapy, facilitated exercise and meditation, seasonal equine therapy, and a four-week extended school year summer experience with hiking and other activities. Supported internships are available for older students.
  • Staff are trained in crisis response and trauma informed practices.
  • Madrona helps each student succeed by creating trust and belonging.
